About us

We are a group of students who value freedom and Poland's membership in the European Union. With our activities we try to promote the idea of integration and cooperation, while developing our own interests and skills.

The ,,Projekt Europa" student association has been active at the Institute of European Studies (Formerly the Chair of European Studies) since 2007. During this time dozens of students from the University of Wrocław have passed through the structures of the club. Today, the "Project Europe" team is mainly made up of students of such majors as: European Studies or European Diplomacy, which, like the Circle itself, are part of the Institute of European Studies.

What do we do?

Over the years, students have taken part in dozens of events and projects. Among them, we can highlight such as study visits to the Berlaymont, the headquarters of the European Commission in Brussels, or to Strasbourg, which is one of the locations for the European Parliament.

,,Projekt Europa" also has in its portfolio the participation in several international projects together with students from Moldova and Georgia. Students were also organisers of pre-election debates or an away seminar at the research station in Karpacz - 'Future and challenges of european integration'.

Who do we cooperate with?

Our presence over several years has allowed us to establish partnerships with many important institutions and individuals. Among them we can highlight: The Regional Representation of the European Commission in Wrocław, the European Parliament Office in Wrocław, the European Union Information Point in Wrocław or the Young Diplomats Forum.

Not just learning

,,Projekt Europa" activities are not limited to events of academical nature. Every year, students from the club are involved in the organisation of the Political Picnic - a cyclical event organised at the Institute of Political Science and the Institute of European Studies of the University of Wrocław, together with other research clubs. In previous years, the Circle was the organiser of the Santa Claus Quiz or the 'Clash of the Titans', in which students competed against lecturers and IES staff.
